The Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition (CIIPC), National Law University, Delhi invites applications from students for internship during the months of December 2018-February, 2019.
Eligibility: The applicant should be currently enrolled in a recognised undergraduate or post-graduate program in any of the disciplines in science or social science (including law and economics). The candidate should be enthusiastic and should possess good interpersonal skills. Depending on our project requirements, some of the interns may also be permitted to work from their current locations.
Responsibilities: The interns are required to participate and assist the Co-directors and Research Fellows at the Centre, in one or more projects that they are currently working on. In addition to working on the projects, interns are also expected to actively participate in all CIIPC events conducted during their internship period.
Duration: The internship shall be for a minimum period of 4 weeks and a maximum of 10 weeks. Each candidate is expected to report every day to the Research Fellow who is coordinating the concerned project.
How to apply: Interested candidates are requested to submit their applications through this online application form. The form requires a covering letter, an updated CV, a short statement of purpose (clearly specifying why they are interested in this internship), and a writing sample (published or unpublished). However, for applicants from the science stream, submitting a write-up is not mandatory.
The Statement of Purpose (SoP) should be brief and should answer the following questions in 1-2 sentences each.
- The reason for applying for the internship programme.
- The benefits the applicant is seeking from the internship.
- Specific contributions the applicant can offer to the project during the internship.
All these four documents must be in word or pdf format. The candidates must also mention their preferred time slots for the internship. Applicants should go through the description of our projects (http://ciipc.org/projects/) and specify their preferred projects in the online application form (mention 3 projects in the order of preference listing them as first preference, second preference, and third preference).
If you have any specific queries regarding the internship, please contact our office manager, Ms. Aditi Bhattacharya ([email protected]).
The last date for application is 12th December, 2018. Owing to the volume of applications received, we will only be able to respond to the successful applicants.
