Ms Rameshwari

Rameshwari joined the CIIPC as a Research Fellow in July, 2017. She received a joint B.Sc.,LL.B degree along with a specialization in Intellectual Property Law from National Law University, Jodhpur in 2013. Post graduation, Rameshwari worked as a Legal Officer with Lawyers Collective, an NGO in New Delhi, where she focussed on the larger implications of Patent Laws on the access to affordable medicines and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis-C. During her time at the Lawyers Collective, she was involved in litigation as well as advocacy at national and international levels on the issues surrounding Patent Law and its impact on access to medicines and right to health.

She then took up a position as a Researcher with the Clairvolex Learning and Research Centre in New Delhi during July, 2016 to study the interface between Intellectual Property and a plethora of technologies. During her time with the Research Centre, she published several studies and informational content about trends and developments in IP space and also taught general courses on Intellectual Property Rights.  Rameshwari’s other research interests include areas such as IP and public interest, women and child rights. With the CIIPC, Rameshwari will primarily be associated with the project on Open Access Textbook on Intellectual Property.
