Openness and transparency are integral components of academic research. To ensure openness and transparency in research, we also need to be transparent about the funding support we accept for our diverse projects and activities. In this regard, the members of CIIPC endorse and support the Open Letter on Ethical Norms in Intellectual Property Scholarship (initiated by Prof. Feldman, Prof. Lemley, Prof. Masur and Prof. Rai). While we welcome financial and non-financial support for our diverse research activities, as a matter of principle, CIIPC does not accept any grant that comes with any conditions that may influence our research freedom or academic independence.
The current activities of CIIPC are supported by NLU Delhi (under the Innovative Research Activities Grant/ XII Plan Grants of UGC) and Qualcomm Inc. (under a three year non-exclusive grant agreement).
If you would like to support the activities of CIIPC in accordance with the principles highlighted in the Open Letter on Ethical Norms in Intellectual Property Scholarship, please drop us an email at [email protected].
